Biography

Dr. Elizabeth Gannon obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her graduate degree in Physiology from VCU – Medical College of Virginia before attending medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where she graduated in 2006. She went on to complete her residency at Fairfax Family Practice at VCU.

In 2010, Dr. Gannon completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at VCU where she had the opportunity to work with high school, collegiate and professional sports teams including DC United and the Washington Nationals. She has a particular clinical interest in Sports Medicine and helping patients return to their previous level of activity prior to an injury.

Dr. Gannon takes on a personalized approach to patient care, saying,”I focus on the patient as a whole while providing compassionate, quality health care.” In addition to Sports Medicine, Dr. Gannon enjoys other aspects of Family Medicine as well, including chronic care, pediatrics, and women’s health.

In her free time, Dr. Gannon enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, yoga, and outdoor activities with her husband and three children.
